Hi, my name is Tara Templeman. I am a primary / elementary school teacher in St. John’s, Newfoundland. I have six years experience teaching kindergarten to grade six, special needs, music and physical education at several schools in the Eastern School District.
In August 2007, I graduated from Memorial University with a Bachelor of Education Primary / Elementary degree. While studying there, I completed a focus area in English before being accepted into the Bachelor of Education Fast Track Program. With confidence, dedication and a lot of hard work, I finished this very short and intense degree program with a 3.75 G.P.A. My internship was in Kindergarten at Virginia Park Elementary where I was responsible for up to 85% of the teaching – the maximum allowable by the university.
Over the past 14 years, I have worked and volunteered in numerous places with various duties. However, the majority of my experience has been related to the education field. Whether it is students, parents or colleagues, I am always friendly, flexible, and accommodating. I am a determined, enthusiastic and highly motivated teacher. My goal is to teach students to grow academically, socially and emotionally in a stimulating atmosphere that adapts to their diverse needs.
When I’m not teaching, I enjoy cooking, baking, cake decorating, biking, swimming, hiking, skating, and playing tennis. I am a very active person. I also enjoy spending time with friends and family.
